I love it when Nike launches a new shoe. It’s like they bring me what I need when I need it. More recently I have decided I want to up my cardio, and in particular reach those running goals. Lifting weights and getting gains is awesome and I love it but my fitness is lacking. It’s time for me to get the runners out. This time I am pulling out the new Nike Lunar Epic.
An epic shoe with an epic name.
For me and running shoes the challenge is hard. I require a shoe that is not bulky, looks good and is functional. I want a shoe I actually want to wear, the Nike Lunar Epic is just that. In fact I was like a kid and didn’t want to take them off all night long. I was even tempted to wear them to work today.
This isn’t just another running shoe. The team at Nike tell me that this shoe has taken over 18 months to develop. Taking insight from Nike’s Magista, a soccer / football shoe which allows the foot, ankle and lower leg to work together as a single unit to emphasize natural movement and a feeling of fluidity — the company’s running designers set out to create a shoe that imparted this same sensation, while still serving runner’s key needs: fit, feel and force.
The sock like finish helps support the ankle but for those scared to make the change the Nike Lunar Epic also comes in a low rise. Perhaps ideal for the less serious runner like myself.
The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit Women’s Running Shoe is lightweight and breathable with targeted cushioning for a soft, effortless sensation underfoot. A flexible, breathable Flyknit upper wraps your foot for a second-skin fit. Targeted areas provide lightweight support where you need it most. The soft, contoured Lunarlon midsole has precision-lasered cuts on the sides that collapse during footstrike, delivering a perfectly smooth transition from heel to toe all with superb softness. You need to go in an see it.
I really don;t understand people. They always laugh at me for being so stylish at the gym but Nike is such a performance brand. It’s only the best for Hannah and Nike covers all corners. Both with fashion but also tech wise. These shoes have so much technology and thought behind them that how they look is really just a bonus.
I really want to get my running up and better so this is the shoe.
I’ve had a run and well I’m in love. I even wore them to the gym this morning and did an ‘epic’ weights session in them followed by a 3km run. I even got a compliment from a cutie at the gym. Safe to say I am in love.
