Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - A Beauty Review
I have found it. The ultimate 9-5 Foundation. A foundation with serious wear time and I won't be looking back. I'm talking about Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup Foundation. I had heard it was good, but I had no idea. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup has a cult following with nine bottles sold every minute worldwide. I am not swayed by this fact and was determined to put it to the test.
To check Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup, I wanted full days. I attended an event after work. My makeup was applied at 7 am post gym and didn't get home that night until past 11 pm. A whole 16 hours later I still looked together.
My Makeup lasting 16 Hours wasn't a one off either. One day I didn't get home till 1.30am after a concert, and again, I still looked good. AMAZING.
Before trying Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup, I had heard rumours about needing a special makeup remover. It's hard to take off and so forth, and, to be honest, I haven't had this problem at all. I use a lot of long-wear foundations, and I didn't find this one any different when it came to removal. Sure, my cleansing routine is pretty stringent, so it should be, and nope, no problems here.
This foundation applies nicely too with the ability to build up the coverage as needed, making it versatile and a no brainer. Of course, with any long wear foundation, skin dryness can come into play. I don't wear this foundation every day. My skin doesn't need all day wear every day anyway, and Estee Lauder has another impressive foundation, Perfectionist perfect for those relaxed weekend days.
THE VERDICT:
Overall Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup has just the right amount of thickness without feeling too heavy on the skin. It provides a flawless medium to full coverage, and it does last the distance. This is my work day 9-5 foundation for that exact reason.
I love Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup and despite it being one of the more expensive foundations on the market, NZD $80 it is worth it.
If you do get this foundation, I also suggest taking the time out to read my blog post on Liquid Foundation and how to get the best out of it.
Head on in and check it out because you won't look back.
