Project 2022 - Making $22,000 with Side Hustles

I’ve always had hustle when it comes to income and currently, I have 6 sources of income and am always looking for fun ways to grow and explore.

Interestingly in 2021, I seemed to let things go, it’s been a steady decline since 2020 to be honest, back when i earn’t 6 figures and hated my job. 2021 was the best year of my life, I got engaged, planned a wedding (which got cancelled) and brought a house. I achieved some epic goals but in 2022 I want to get back on social, share my story, and make some money!

The goal - Can I make an additional $22,000 in 2022?

My side hustles (I will be focusing on)

1. Content Creator + Influencer
   - aka this blog: I have made money of course from this very blog and my social channels, It is fun, and I love being creative with brands. In my best year, I made 40k before tax and outgoings, in 2021 I made $700. Let’s see what 2022 brings shall we.
   

2. Affiliate Marketing.
   With a few of my fave brands, I have affiliate codes, where I make a percentage of sales from purchases when I share these codes or talk about these brands I mark this as a paid partnership - I make money from these products I love. In fact, I’m wearing one of the brands right now!
   in 2021 I’ve made $1,297.41 in affiliate marketing
   

3. My Esty store
   This is my slow burner, and I should spend more time here but I sell Habit trackers online. I’ve spent about two hours in total on these, and well I’ve sold three and made $4.50 in 2021 - but it’s something, and it’s passive income while I sleep.

4. Second-hand sales.
   If you’ve watched my TikTok you’ll know I like shopping! Well, I also like selling. I always have something on TradeMe for sale. If I’m not wearing it, and it’s taking space in my home it’s up for sale. Further to this, I often turn other people’s junk into treasure - so sometimes I see things on the side of the road - I pick it up and list it for sale!
   This is tricky income as it really is just selling things i’ve brought and not creating new income so to speak, but it does add up. In December 2021 I made $1,651.30 before outgoings
   

5. Investments
   Of course, I hold a portfolio - it currently has my wedding savings in it and is held via a financial advisor! And I have cryptocurrency. I am a long term holder so these won’t be part of the project for 2022. But they have gone up in value for 2021 about 5k.
   

6. Surveys + Other
   Yes, I do surveys for cash - this one is extra good, I have been getting $50 a survey - they don’t come around often, but I generally get one a month. Also, I was using a USA Cashback site, but I have been referred to Kiwiwallet - Just use Kiwiwallet before shopping and you can get cashback, like 3% or so on places like Countdown, OnceIt, Glassons etc. Honestly, super easy!

Some rules:

• My day job is number 1. I love working in social media and yes it often means my own channels fall to the wayside and that is cool by me! My day job comes first and foremost!

• I will share what I can but I won’t break it down to such a level. A lot of the information is commercially sensitive and between me and my vendor or contractor - but I will share overviews as i have above.

• Do my best, but know life changes and play hard, work hard!
