Queenstown, New Zealand - 5 Places To Wine and Dine in Queenstown

unnamed-3-1.jpg

There are over 150 bars and cafes in the Queenstown region and some standouts. The places I have always heard about. Furthermore, the wineries in Queenstown and nearby Gibbston, the 'Valley of Vines', have a reputation for producing some of the world’s best Pinot Noir, It just so happens I love Pinot Noir.  At 29, I took my first trip to Queenstown. It should have happened a long time ago. Flying with Jetstar, we spent the long weekend having fun, exploring, eating and drinking our way around this beautiful region.

Here are some of the places I suggest you head to when in Queenstown

The Winery

The Winery has over 80 wines for you to taste so why not. Settle in for the evening, enjoy and walk on home to your hotel after, what more could you want? They have a selection of cheese boards to select from as you enjoy one of the many wines on offer. They also have a whiskey bar too if that is more your style. I loved this place so much; it is a winner!

Fergburger

World-renowned Fergburger is Queenstown's iconic burger joint. We had to go, and it had to be on the day we arrived. Not to be left to chance. Fergburger is a takeaway joint so you can grab your burger and head down to the lakeside for a picnic. We may have ended up at Fergburger twice...in one day.

Amisfield Winery & Bistro

Amisfield Bistro is a special place, a place where the chefs set the menu. The food is seasonal, the produce fresh. Dinner consists of 7 courses prepared especially. You will need to book and trust me when I say it is worth the $140pp and an additional $70 for the matching wines.

Joes Garage

Joe's Garage mission is simple; a place that everybody can go and have fun, catch up with friends and enjoy fantastic coffee. This stands true at both the Wellington branch and in Queenstown. After a sleep in this was the ideal way to start the day. Reading the newspaper, relaxing and winding into the day.

Cookie Time Cookie Bar

If you are a Kiwi well then you know all about Cookie Time, in particular, those Christmas cookies. In Queenstown, Cookie Time have opened a Cookie Bar. The menu is fun with hot Cookies, Freakshakes, S'mores, Ice Cream and more. There is also all the Cookie Time Merch you can think off.

This rounds off my list, overall Queenstown is an amazing place to visit especially if you are into your Red wine.

I flew thanks to Jetstar and it was fuss-free and super easy. I was able to keep track of my flights using the app and everything was super smooth. I felt like we were able to make every minute count this holiday! I also fell in love with the Ham and Cheese toastie on my Jetstar Flight, so much so I got it on the way home.
